Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Permanent Site

Residents can bring their old lawn chemicals, paints strippers, acids, insecticides, and more for recycling and/or environmentally safe disposal.

There is a $1 per container charge for the disposal of latex/water based paint.

HHW materials are unsafe and should not be put in the trash and sent to the Franklin County Sanitary Landfill. In addition to the mobile collection events held throughout the year, SWACO provides free HHW disposal services at a permanent drop-off location at 645 E. 8th Ave., Columbus, Ohio 43201.   Hours vary, please call 614-294-1300.

Beginning November 1, 2017 residents should begin receiving information on the new gas aggreation contract the Township has in place with Volunteer Energy of Ohio

Variable rate of NYMEX plus the FIX adder of $0.1281/ ccf is our contracted rate. 

 NO FEE to Join the program.    NO FEE to leave the program.

Budget billing is available on your entire bill  by calling Columbia Gas Ohio at 1-800-344-4077


Electric Aggregation Savings will begin March 1, 2019 for 33 months.

Electric Transmission Savings is available through the Township Aggregation Program.  Contact Trebel LLC  1-877-861-2772 for more information. 

Our new FIXED rate is $0.0495/kwf (effective 3/1/2019)


Budget Billing is available (unless you are enrolled in the HEAP or similiar assistance program).  You MUST contact both AEP and Volunteer Energy to request budget billing.

 The GREAT service will help connect employees traveling to the Rickenbacker

Area on COTA Line 81 to various businesses located throughout the industrial park.

Funded by the City of Groveport and additional financial assistance from the Village of Obetz,

this shuttle service will help connect people with jobs in the Rickenbaker area.
