Mission Statement

The mission of the Madison Township Police Department is to affirmatively promote a feeling of safety and security to the members of our community. We do this by providing high-quality police services for the protection of life and property; by taking steps to prevent criminal activity; by detecting and investigating criminal activity; by the apprehension of offenders and the enforcement of criminal laws; by recovering property; by providing leadership in community involvement and awareness programs; by keeping and maintaining records; by training of personnel; and by maintaining high ethical standards.


Public Notice

The Madison Township Police Department is currently in possession of property collected from 2002 to present.  The property includes electronic equipment, computers, music instruments, and tools.  Anyone having a legal right or can show proof of ownership should contact Madison Township Police Department, Officer K. Mallory, by calling 614-836-5355 or in person at 4567 Madison Lane, Groveport, Ohio 43125.  Further, anyone claiming rights to these items should produce proper identification and identifying characteristics of these items, including but not limited to, serial number, manner in which it was found, any identifying marks, and condition of the property.  Should it be determined by the Court that these items are abandoned, ownership to the property will then transfer to Madison Township Police Department.  The last day to claim property is March 22, 2019 at 4:30 p.m.
