Gas Aggregation Program (for Columbia gas customers only)

UPDATE: (June 1, 2026)

There is currently no Township Aggregation program for natural gas.

Electric Aggregation Program (for AEP customers only)

UPDATE: (June 1, 2026) Madison Township and Archer Energy have locked in a fixed rate for electricity from June 1, 2026, through May 31, 2027, of $.09998 per kWh, inclusive of capacity.

PLEASE NOTE: The township program rate has NOT changed; however, due to the results of the PJM Capacity Auction, beginning with the June 2025 bill cycle, the additional auction rate will increase the rate to $.09285 per kWh through May 2026. This increase will affect ALL electric customers throughout the state.

We know receiving the Opt-Out letters is frustrating, but it's required by the PUCO (Public Utility Commission of Ohio) to protect consumers and keep them informed of rate changes before bills are received.

The Township program will continue to offer Budget Billing through the utility, with no fees to join later, and no fees for leaving early. Any eligible resident or business may join the program.

If you want more information on the Township Electric Aggregation program or if you wish to Opt-Out, please contact Archer Energy at 1-844-795-7491. Our consultant Trebel LLC can help answer any questions about your utility bill. Please have your bill in hand when you call 1-877-861-2772, or email support@trebelllc.com.

Be aware of door-to-door and phone solicitors! Ask the following questions before you decide on your gas or electric:

  1. What is the fee for canceling a contract with them?

  2. How long is their quoted rate good for?

  3. How long is the contract period you are required to sign?

  4. Is the rate fixed or variable?

  5. Is budget billing available on the "entire" bill?

  6. What is the name of the supplier?
